With Three-Day Passes just about gone Single Day Passes for this year’s Psych Fest have just been released and are available for only $45. The Black Angels and Psychic Ills headline Friday, The Black Lips and Olivia Tremor Control on Saturday followed by The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Meat Puppets on Sunday, but if you’re having a hard time making up your mind you might as well snag a Three-Day Pass while you still can.
Last spring Austin Psych Fest took over the now-defunct Seaholm Power Plant, edging out Jay-Z and Kayne’s SXSW performance as the final event of the venue’s short tenure. This year the music and multimedia festival is heading east side, spaning both Emo’s East and the brand new Beauty Ballroom April 27-29th. The Reverbnation Appreciation Society and the Black Angels have compiled another monstrous lineup as 90’s psych-revivalists Brian Jonestown Massacre headline alongside The Black Lips, with an additional 20+ bands to be announced in March. Weekend passes go on sale this Saturday at 12PM (CST) at both the Emo’s and Austin Psych Fest websites, keep watch here on the Emo’s blog for the latest updates and lineup additions.
